The Gift of Choice

Nothing quite like a pandemic to instil fear in humankind. Why have we been taught the phrase ‘fear of God’? It is so negative and misdirected because we’ve been manipulated to fear God if we do something wrong. Fear is man-made and is the opposite of God.

“For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline.“ – 2 Timothy 1:7.

God would also never want us to fear Him. We are made in his image so it goes to reason that we are love and should endeavour to live as God intended – to experience the fullness of love and that includes faith in ourselves and the power of our love and light because these vibrations overcome darkness and fear.

That’s what this virus is – man-made to induce fear, panic and control over the masses. To dim our light and the power of who we are as loving intelligence. Make no mistake this virus is a real threat to our mortality and capable of horrible pain. I know this for sure because I am testament to its darkness. As I write this, I am infected with Covid 19.

My transition from 2020 to 2021 was not quite what I had in mind. Neither was 2020 for humankind! Life certainly threw me a curveball on the 31^st December 2020, the first day I started feeling the onslaught of the symptoms. Each day brought a new wave of sickness, discomfort and pain. What is so clear to me is how the mind can be controlled, how easy it is to slip into a pandemic of fear and feel carried away by despair. What is equally apparent to me is how grateful I am for the path I chose to walk over the years, and particularly in 2020 delving deeper into my heart and spiritual journey.

That choice is saving me right now from being utterly consumed by fear and the physical pain. It is forcing me to choose – do I let the fear win or do I choose to fight it with faith in God and love that I can heal and win this fight?

What is obvious to me is that no matter how awful this virus makes me feel physically, I am determined to be victorious because I do not fear God and I believe with every fibre of my being that Spirit does not want me to succumb to fear. Spirit wants me to thrive even in the most challenging circumstances. That is the gift Source has given every human being on this beautiful planet – Choice. The choice to either entertain the fear or dismiss it. The choice to either entertain faith and love or dismiss it.

We have this power in our hands every single day we are alive. The mind is an incredible instrument of power and change if and when we know how to use it. When we remember the gift that we can control which thoughts to entertain or dismiss and then witness the consequential reality of our own choice, we realize we are capable of doing anything, including healing from a virus.

Miracles happen every day. Sadly, most of us fail to recognize this because we don’t believe this is a possibility since we’ve entertained negative thoughts year in and year out. Our lives will always be a reflection of what is going on in our subconscious mind – always.

If in our imagination we seed, see, feel and believe in God, love and healing, without any doubts, and these remain our predominant thoughts, then this is exactly what will translate in our outward reality in good time. One would argue that positive mind power exercises are useless if you do not see the results in your outward reality. The practitioner of positive mind power persists and remembers that reality is a delayed response of one’s consciousness. Persistence prevails because supply follows demand. It is law and everything in the Universe is governed by law. If we entertain fear, sickness and despair that is exactly what impresses the subconscious mind and embeds deeper in our bodies and circumstances.

I’m not going to lie and say it’s been easy. In fact, it’s been horribly difficult for me physically, emotionally, it’s been taxing witnessing the impact on my loved ones and, the plans I had for the start of 2021 were instantly tossed aside. Despite this, more than ever before, making the choice to entertain thoughts of healing, that God is with me, and that I will win this fight, I understand with crystal clarity what is truly valuable in this life.
Your body is sacred. It’s a miraculous gift of a machine home to your beautiful heart and Soul, and your loved ones are all that truly matters.

Be kind to your body.

Be kind to your loved ones.

Be good to yourself.

Love yourself fully and unapologetically.

You only have one body, treat it with love and reverence.

You have a powerful mind.

You have the gift of choice.

Choose to entertain fear or choose to entertain love.

When you make the right choice, God is always on your side.

I choose God.

I choose love.

I choose life. I’m not done yet.

Once I have healed fully, my life will begin anew, stronger than ever.
